I’d rather be…having a vacation by the sea
Living in a city state, there is always the hustling and bustling of traffic and people. Space is limited and noise is inevitable. It represents speed and efficiency. However, it also creates stress and anxiety.
So, to escape all these, I’d rather be near the sea, soaking my feet in a pool or sand and watch the sun goes up and down in a slow fashion. Listening to the splash of waves, watching the tides changing its level, observing the ripples on the water surface, smelling the salty air that blown towards my face and having light kisses from the gentle breeze.
A vacation near the sea is where I’rather be.

Oslo is relatively quiet compared to many other cities but I still long for some lovely time near the sea, almost constantly. The winter here is far too long and it may last five months. How can I resist the light kisses from the waves I wonder. You make me dream…

Most definitely. But where we live, it is never that far from the sea… can that be considered living by the sea? its not vacationing… but close?

Yeah, I know. Actually just a few minutes drive or a few bus stops away or even looking out windows from a tall building, you can see the sea. But I never considered that as a vacation because most of the time I am busy doing something rather than relaxing. So may be living near the sea but not doing anything is considered vacationing? 😎

I think it depends on the state of mind. If we can relax at home looking out towards the sea, who can say we are not at vacation in the comfort of our home, right? 😜
