Hakone 2 Days 1 Night – What To Do, Where To Stay, How To Get There

One of the most popular day trips from Tokyo recommended by travellers around the world or tour agencies is Hakone. It is about 85 minutes by Odakyu Line from Shinjuku Station to Hakone-Yumoto Station, which makes it a short distance to travel out of the modern metropolitan (Tokyo) to a scenic countryside (Hakone). Hakone, known for its natural beauty and vast greenery has a lot to offer. The moment you step out of Hakone-Yumoto Station, you are like transform into a slow-pacing paradise with fresh air and uncongested space. What To Do In Hakone Scenic Rides With Different Modes of Transportation My recommendation is to take the scenic rides using…

    Tokyo Hotel Reviews

In my recent trip to Tokyo, I had stayed in 3 different hotels. I know, you must be thinking “why in the world would I do that?”. Well, I don’t blame you because I hate changing hotels with the packing and unpacking, the boring waiting time to check in and getting used to the new bed and pillows… My reason is I planned a day travel out of Tokyo to the nearest onsen town, Hakone for a one night stay. Since I broke the whole 7-day Tokyo trip into two, so I might as well enjoy staying in another hotel to try the hospitality of Tokyoites. Therefore, this blog is…

Being in a tropical country, Bali is the ultimate beach vacation for everyone, albeit for honeymoon or relaxation. Voted as one of the top destinations to visit in TripAdvisor, Bali is full of culture things to explore such as food, temples, handcrafts markets, dance, entertainments and more. I have been to Bali twice and each time I stayed in different hotels. One was a couple trip and another one was a family trip with kids. Both times, I truly enjoyed this beautiful island and its hospitality. So here I wish to share with you my tips on where to stay and what to do on this sunny island in Indonesia. What…

A day in Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Malaysia

The kids were having a school break and we decided to go for a road trip in Malaysia and stayed in one of the award-winning resorts, Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson. I had been to Port Dickson many years ago with friends and we stayed in a chalet near the beach. At that time, there wasn’t any water villa above the sea. So this time, I want to fulfil my dream of at least staying in a water villa once in my lifetime. Port Dickson is not too far away, about three and a half hours drive from Singapore. It is one of the coastal towns near Kuala Lumpur. Not a…

Should bloggers approach hotels for collaboration?

I came across this article and wanted to share with you regarding influencers asking hotels for free stay in exchange for recommending the hotels to their followers. Let me summarise the story. It was a 22-year-old YouTube cum Instagram star, who wrote an email to a hotel to ask for free room stay in exchange for featuring the hotel in her YouTube video and Instagram story. But the hotel owner responded no with sarcastic remarks, and most importantly, the hotel owner wrote his response on its hotel’s Facebook page, showcasing the influencer’s email request. If you are interested to know the details, click the following link. http://flip.it/2yk2jy Nowadays, sponsored posts…

How I spent one day in Venice

Most of my friends who had been to Italy would surely recommend Venice as a must-visit city in Italy. A city that is known as a romantic place for couples, a city that is surrounded by sea and canals, no road for vehicles, only walkways for pedestrians and bridges to cross. We reached Venice by high-speed train from Milan. The journey was about 2 hours and 25 minutes. The train ride was comfortable and fast. I bought the train tickets a few months ago before my trip and it was cheap (more than 50% discount on the original price). So if you plan to travel in Italy by high-speed train,…

TOP things to do in Valencia

Valencia, the third largest city in Spain, has a mix of old and modern buildings, certainly has its charm. Besides the architecture, it is where the famous Spanish food Paella originally from. Rich in culture, great architecture, delicious food and plenty of drinks, so definitely should not give this city a miss. Architecture Let’s talk about the old buildings first. In Spain, I encountered various plazas or squares. And usually, these plazas are accompanied by famous buildings, for example, the cathedrals, bell towers or palaces. So no surprise here in Valencia it is the same. One of the places I had been to was the square of Valencia Cathedral. At…

Hotel review : St Giles Wembley Penang

Located on the busy street of Magazine Road, St Giles Wembley Penang is easily the tallest building on that road (if you do not count The Komtar shopping mall), dwarfing the rest of the buildings surrounding it. To it’s opposite is another hotel, which is much shorter as compared with The Wembley. We drove to this hotel by following the Google Maps. It was easy to find as Magazine Road was a busy street and it was located opposite of The Komtar Shopping Mall and 1st Avenue shopping mall. We parked our car at level 2 and proceeded to the reception at ground floor. There was no queue when we…
