Petrosains, The Discovery Centre Kuala Lumpur
Petrosains Kuala Lumpur has been given the high rating on TripAdvisor’s reviews and on Google Reviews. It is one of the top attractions in Kuala Lumpur. I have been to KL many times but each time had given this place a miss. So I decided to plan a half a day trip to visit this highly recommended attraction from global wanderers as well as the locals, to see what the fuss is about. First, the location. Petrosains is located within the Petronas KLCC, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. So it is very easy to find the place by public transport or taxi. In addition, KLCC has lots of retail…

Top 7 things about Sabah
Where is Sabah? What is so special about this place? Sabah is situated on the island of Borneo, which is the 3rd largest island in the world (after Greenland and New Guinea). It is also one of the states in Malaysia that has a rapid tourism growth. This place has a lot of potential for nature lovers, families, solo travellers and of course for people who would like to travel out of the popular tourist destinations. Most importantly, this is a Place in the World where I feel safe, have given me lots of Laughter and happy memories during my days living in this beautiful land. 1.Beautiful sunset view Sabah…

A Happy Smile Meal In A Cafe
Last month, we were introduced by a family member to have a brunch in this modern cafe called Take Eat Easy Cafe, which is tugged at a corner of an office building. The exterior of the cafe is simple, dark glass doors with steely door bars, a brown awning stating that it has baked goods, pastry, sandwich, pizza, salad, waffle, ice-cream and coffee. The interior is dark too but with a luxurious feel. Velvet lounge chairs that are arranged near the glass windows are as tall as my shoulders, heavy drape curtains, brown colour checkered ceilings filled with hanging lamps, wooden dark brown tables and wooden dividers to separate the…

A day in Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Malaysia
The kids were having a school break and we decided to go for a road trip in Malaysia and stayed in one of the award-winning resorts, Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson. I had been to Port Dickson many years ago with friends and we stayed in a chalet near the beach. At that time, there wasn’t any water villa above the sea. So this time, I want to fulfil my dream of at least staying in a water villa once in my lifetime. Port Dickson is not too far away, about three and a half hours drive from Singapore. It is one of the coastal towns near Kuala Lumpur. Not a…

A Day Trip To Home Of Swiftlets, Yong Peng Johor Malaysia
Have you tried coconut bird nest before? How about bird nest on soya bean pudding? I have tried edible bird nest before. It is woven by swiftlets from their saliva and harvest for human consumption. It is a Chinese delicacy and most popular tonic in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). I know, you must be wondering why on earth would I eat something that got to do with birds’ saliva? Eww….. (this was the reaction from my kids). Well, first of all, my parents did not explain how the edible bird nest came about when they gave it to me (I was a child then). All they said was “it…

Hotel review : St Giles Wembley Penang
Located on the busy street of Magazine Road, St Giles Wembley Penang is easily the tallest building on that road (if you do not count The Komtar shopping mall), dwarfing the rest of the buildings surrounding it. To it’s opposite is another hotel, which is much shorter as compared with The Wembley. We drove to this hotel by following the Google Maps. It was easy to find as Magazine Road was a busy street and it was located opposite of The Komtar Shopping Mall and 1st Avenue shopping mall. We parked our car at level 2 and proceeded to the reception at ground floor. There was no queue when we…

One Day Itinerary in Melaka (Malacca), Malaysia
We have been to Melaka once. So, we decided to go again and tried different experiences. We brought along our two kids and drove from Johor Bahru to Melaka on a Saturday morning. The drive took two and a half hours. We booked a one-night stay at Novotel Melaka. We arrived early before check-in time. So we decided to check in first. The staff was friendly and courteous, allowed us to do the necessary check-in procedures. Because we had requested interconnecting rooms, the hotel staff had accommodated our request. Once the check-in procedures were done, we went out of the hotel to the nearest eatery we could find. For…
