Daily photo challenge – All-time Favourites
Today it is kind of melodramatic for me as I bid farewell to the weekly Daily Post’s Photo Challenge. I joined this photo challenge since last year and it had been a wonderful journey for me. It gave me the opportunity to learn from other bloggers, connecting with them and also showcasing my visual stories to others. With all the likes and encouraging comments, it gave me the confidence to tell my adventures and find my voice. Every week, I had waited patiently for the day for the Daily Post’s editor to announce the new photo challenge’s theme for the week. Now that it has come to an end, I…

The fluid Montjuic Magic Fountain
Before visiting Barcelona, I did research on must-visit places and Montjuic Magic Fountain was one of them. On certain days, the fountain would come to live with its music and lights choreography that would capture everyone’s attention. My travel partner and I had waited for musical fountain show on one of the weekends. Not too long, people were gathering at the stairways and pathways near the fountain waiting for its live action to start. Not even the cold night with the chilling wind blowing could stop the crowd to group together for this. Once the show started, the chattering among the crowd softened and the infectious music from the loudspeakers brought the…

Butterbeer In Harry Potter Wizarding World
Not long ago, with family in tow, I went to Osaka’s Universal Studios Japan for a one day trip for giving myself an exciting to have fun in a theme park. So there we went very early morning, hopefully, to get into the park before the crowds getting larger and larger. But, at least a few hundreds of people had beaten us to wait in line to be the first to get inside the park, bummer… Anyway, we waited for the park to open and finally exactly at the opening time (Japan is a country that values time accuracy), we were let into the park. First off, we dashed to…

Soundproof Your Home
Do you like to sleep in a room where every once in a few minutes you can hear the thunderous tolling of buses passing by? Have you ever experienced watching a tv shows like Game of Thrones when you need to turn up the volume to be able to hear what is Daenerys talking about? Have you tried to ignore the abrupt roaring motorbikes sound while concentrating on solving a 12-year-old math question that looks like a Mensa IQ test? Do you like to hear the rhythmic pounding of the nearby road constructions when you are trying to get the baby to sleep? That’s where the soundproof windows come in. Living in…

Beautiful Lines In City Of Arts And Sciences Valencia
Most of my travel photos involved a lot of architectural buildings and structures because I tend to visit cities instead of nature. So when it comes to lines, my immediate thoughts are those imposing and amazing architectural structures I have come across. One of those structures that fit this description is none other than the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia Spain. This modern architectural masterpiece is considered as one of the 12 Treasures in Spain. All the buildings have rows of lines that interconnecting or supporting each other. When you look from the outside of the buildings, the supporting beams and columns are lines, just like uniform soldiers…

The Beauty Of Sunrise And Sunset
Going through my photos, I realised that I took a lot of sunset photos wherever I went. One, it shows that I am not a morning person. And two, it also shows the vibrant colours that follow the sun. The surrounding turns into a golden hue and water changes from blue to a darker shade to reflect the changing mood. Places turn quieter and the crowds are slowly dissipating. The moon is peeking from the horizon and can’t wait to show off its gentle calm side opposite the fiery blazing sun. Words just cannot express fully how beautiful the sunrise and sunset are. So let me tell you how alluring…

I’d rather be…having a vacation by the sea
Living in a city state, there is always the hustling and bustling of traffic and people. Space is limited and noise is inevitable. It represents speed and efficiency. However, it also creates stress and anxiety. So, to escape all these, I’d rather be near the sea, soaking my feet in a pool or sand and watch the sun goes up and down in a slow fashion. Listening to the splash of waves, watching the tides changing its level, observing the ripples on the water surface, smelling the salty air that blown towards my face and having light kisses from the gentle breeze. A vacation near the sea is where I’rather…

A face in the crowd
I was trying to capture the charm of a quiet alley in Spain and just snap the photo. Inevitably, my travel partner became my subject in the photo. It could probably interpret as a lone traveller walking down a quiet street in the middle of a big city. To me, it serves as a portrait of him having travel to this part of the world, wandering and lost in this city. The following are some of the faceless portraits I had shown in some of my blog posts. Check them out if you are interested. Ladies in kimono while walking in Kyoto. The kimonos were so vibrant in colours I…

Sweet
Valentine’s Day is a day where couples shower each other with sweetness, whether it is chocolates, desserts or a sweet gesture of giving a rose. Even towards family members, giving sweetness like cooking a meal, playing games together or simply spending time accompany each other to show their love to one another. This Valentine’s Day I decided to have brunch at The Coffee Academic at Scott Square Singapore. This was where I tried this dubbed as ‘the most Instagrammed coffee in the World’, Coffee In The Cone. The interior of the cone is coated with chocolate. Instead of ice cream, warm coffee is added into the cone. A stirrer is…
